Refund & Withdrawal Policy

Your EU right of withdrawal, cancellation, and refund terms.

Interim notice: our discretionary goodwill-refund stance is being finalized; your statutory rights below apply in full.

1. Scope

This Refund & Withdrawal Policy applies to paid subscriptions purchased directly from MODEL.AT. Where you purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store’s own refund policy governs and refunds must be requested from the store.

2. EU/EEA Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you may withdraw from a purchase within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG). The period expires 14 days after the conclusion of the contract.

To withdraw, inform us (contact legal@model.at) by a clear statement (e.g. an email). You may use the model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. Sending your communication before the period expires is sufficient to meet the deadline.

3. Immediate Performance & Waiver (Digital Services)

A subscription gives immediate access to a digital service. By starting your subscription during the 14-day period, you expressly request that we begin performance immediately and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided, under Art 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive (§18(1)(11) FAGG). Until you give this consent and acknowledgement at checkout, your withdrawal right is unaffected.

4. Effect of Withdrawal

If you validly withdraw before performance begins, we reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and within 14 days, using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you. Where you consented to immediate performance and the service has begun, you may owe an amount proportionate to what was provided up to the point of withdrawal.

5. Cancellation & Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle (monthly or annually) at the then-current price until cancelled. Cancel any time in Settings → Subscription; cancellation stops the next renewal, and your paid access continues to the end of the current paid period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a period already started, except where required by law or at our discretion.

6. Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the end of the trial at the price disclosed at sign-up, unless you cancel before the trial ends.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, contact legal@model.at before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve it quickly. Payments are processed by Stripe; card and SEPA dispute rights under your payment provider remain available to you.

8. Goodwill Refunds

Your statutory rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Austrian FAGG (Sections 2–4 above) always apply. Beyond those statutory cases, any goodwill or pro-rata refund is granted at our sole discretion and decided case by case; contact legal@model.at with your request.
